Flight of Justice: A Story of Gains and Punishments

Hello, my name is Sophie. For our family trip, Clark booked first class for himself and his mom, but I had to stay in economy with the kids. But I wasn’t going to let him enjoy his high-class time without some trouble.

The holiday trip to see Clark’s family was meant to be a time to relax. That being said, Clark’s choice to improve himself and his mother made me feel bad.

When we got to the airport, Clark said in passing that he had booked first class for himself and his mom, leaving me to deal with economy with our two kids. His lack of concern lit a fire in me.

“You’re sitting in first class with your mom, while I’m stuck in economy with the kids?” I tried not to lose my temper and asked.

Clark just shrugged and told me I was being emotional. I knew I had to do something about it at that point.

I watched Clark and his mom drink champagne as we got on the plane while I fought to make room for our carry-on bags. That’s when my plan began to come together.

I had sneakily put Clark’s wallet into my bag earlier, while we were going through security. Now, I waited calmly while he ate fancy meals and drank great liquor.

Clark found out his wallet was gone two hours into the trip. Clark’s face turned pale when the flight attendant asked for payment.

I took it easy, ate some popcorn, and watched the show. As Clark begged the assistant, he became more and more desperate.

He finally got to economy and begged me for money. I pretended to care while giving him only a small amount of what he needed.

I told her, “You could ask your mom for help,” even though I knew it would hurt.

During the rest of the flight, Clark and his mom kept very quiet. In the meantime, I enjoyed my spot in economy.

Clark was frantic as he looked for his wallet after the trip. I kept up the act and tried not to smile.

As we were leaving the airport, I was happy. Clark had learned his lesson, and for now I had kept my secret safe.

It taught me that sometimes you need to be clever with your justice. And who knows, Clark might think twice next time before leaving me behind to get better.
